It’s on!

The first meeting officially has a time and place:

6:00 – 7:00pm
Monday, March 30
The Singer room
Eugene City Library

We've got space in the new library at 10th and Olive; the Singer room is on the second floor, left of the elevators (right next to the glassed-in computer lab). Check out this post for the agenda.

A big part of this first meeting will be getting to know everyone, so if you want to bring a laptop or a url of something cool you're working on (or something cool you'd like to learn more about) - we can set up some screens and get some discussions going. Alternately you can leave links in the comments below or register an account and make a new post. If you have any questions, please get in touch: rob@hattv.com

Hello Eugene!

I'm still hammering out the details for the inaugural meeting of the Eugene Flash & Flex Developers User Group but things are finally coming together and it looks like we can expect to get together in the second half of March – I'll update time and location as soon as I know more (probably Monday). The tentative agenda is as follows:

  1. Welcome
  2. Discussion on the formation and direction of the group over the next year.
  3. Solicit volunteers/candidates to serve as group officers
  4. Plan next meeting
  5. Q&A - Open discussion

I'll be keeping the news updated here (RSS) at effx.org. The good folks at Adobe have also given us an account on the Adobe User Groups site, so you can head over that way and add yourself as a member there. Additionally I've set up a uservoice account for everyone to post and vote on ideas for upcomming meetings and discussions. If anyone else has more ideas for how we can integrate better as a community, post away in the comments and we'll get it set up!
